Ben is a British Canadian professional kart racer and kart race team manager. Born in the UK, Ben started kart racing at the age of 7, winning many national and regional titles. At the age of 17, Ben won the first of his four European Championships and at the age of 18 won the first of his three World Championships.

At the start of 2012, just after winning his second European and World Championships, Ben moved to Canada, basing himself in Mont Tremblant, Québec. Working at Acadamie Karting Jim Russell. It was there that Ben started working on the idea of starting his own kart racing academy with SRA Karting Michel Boisclair.

Ben continued to race through 2012, 2013 and 2014. Throughout those years he went on to pick up his one and only Canadian Championship on his first and only attempt, 2 more European Championships and his final World Championship all while representing Canada. Since 2014, Ben has taken a step back from racing himself to focus on his Ben Cooper Racing Team, which he started in 2015.

In 2016 the opportunity arrived for SRA Karting and Ben to start operating the karting facility at Circuit ICAR, Mirabel. After the first year at ICAR, the Ben Cooper Racing Academy was started for 2017 with 6 young drivers. Now in 2020, BCR has grown to now have 28 drivers ranging from the ages 6-16 in their academy. With the BCR academy now feeding drivers into the BCR Team, the future looks bright.
